This course provides the graduate education student with in depth exposure to the role that creative art experience plays in the child’s development; to increase sensitivity to the aesthetic quality in a child’s development and in his or her art work; to increase confidence in the child’s ability to work creatively with a variety of materials that utilize art to teach academic, social and cognitive skills; and to provide learning experiences.
