This course focuses on educational practices in both public and residential school programs for students who are deaf
and hard of hearing. Specific research-supported instructional strategies are examined and practiced. Emphasis is placed on the roles and responsibilities of the teacher as decision-maker, facilitator of cognitive and communicative development, multidisciplinary team member, collaborator with parents and other professionals, and advocate for students.
